Heyward M. Cantrell, MAI, has over 40 years of experience in appraising commercial real estate throughout Florida, with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation (when real estate value is an issue), eminent domain and ad valorem tax cases. Mr. Cantrell is an approved appraiser for most large commercial banks in Northeast Florida. He also has over 25 years of experience in the brokerage of all types of commercial real estate and the development of over 30 real estate projects whose total value exceed $300,000,000. These projects include oceanfront resort condominiums, hotels and motels, apartment buildings, medical office buildings, historical properties, single family subdivisions and industrial buildings. In addition, his experience includes management and leasing of most types of income producing properties. This hands on market participant experience as a broker, developer, and manager of real estate significantly enhances the appraiser’s ability to recognize the highest and best use of a property and its related value. Quite often Mr. Cantrell is employed to serve as a review appraiser in litigation matters. The Circuit Courts have appointed Mr. Cantrell a Receiver of over 30 different properties.
